Brazilian Jiu Jitsu (BJJ)
Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu (BJJ) is one of the most effective real-life self defense and fighting systems on the planet. It is a ground fighting martial art based on the premise that more than 90% of street fights end up on the ground. BJJ is a grappling based martial art, utilizing controlling positions, joint locks and chokes.
Striking incorporates punches, kicks, elbows and knees in one system. Classes will cover basic offense and defense techniques as well as providing a great workout through fundamental drills. Beginner and Advanced class options are offered to cater to all levels!
The sport of Submission Wrestling brings together techniques from catch wrestling, folk wrestling, judo, Greco-Roman wrestling, freestyle wrestling, Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu and Sambo. Submission Wrestling focuses on takedowns, grappling top control and various chokes and submission holds.
Takedowns & Transitions
Takedowns & Transitions is a mix of Sambo, Judo, BJJ and Wrestling. The focus of the class is to improve your ability to take a fight or grappling match to the mat and to control your opponent. While doing this, we are always taking submissions into account and learning how to avoid bad positions in transition.
