About Our Youth Wrestling Program

Our Youth Wrestling program is designed to introduce young athletes to the fundamentals of Folkstyle Wrestling, the predominant style in U.S. schools and colleges. We focus on developing physical literacy, mental resilience, and sportsmanship. Our classes are structured to provide a safe and encouraging environment where kids can learn and grow. Through wrestling, children gain total-body fitness, self-discipline, and respect for their peers and coaches. Join us to help your child build a foundation for lifelong success.

Training Phases of Wrestling

Neutral Position

In the neutral position, wrestlers learn to master the staggered stance, execute level changes, and perform high-percentage takedowns like the double-leg and single-leg.

Top Position

Training in the top position focuses on maintaining control, breaking down opponents, and working towards a pin using techniques such as halves and cradles.

Bottom Position

The bottom position emphasizes creating space, executing explosive stand-ups, and mastering sit-outs to escape and return to neutral.

Scoring System

Our program covers the wrestling scoring system, teaching athletes how moves translate into points through takedowns, escapes, reversals, and near-falls.
