About Our Youth Wrestling Program
Training Phases of Wrestling
Neutral Position
In the neutral position, wrestlers learn to master the staggered stance, execute level changes, and perform high-percentage takedowns like the double-leg and single-leg.
Top Position
Training in the top position focuses on maintaining control, breaking down opponents, and working towards a pin using techniques such as halves and cradles.
Bottom Position
The bottom position emphasizes creating space, executing explosive stand-ups, and mastering sit-outs to escape and return to neutral.
Scoring System
Our program covers the wrestling scoring system, teaching athletes how moves translate into points through takedowns, escapes, reversals, and near-falls.
